Green building is the practice of creating structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient. Green building is also known as sustainable or high performance building.

There are many differing criteria and characteristics that qualify a product to be bought, sold and marketed as Green. Chace Building Supply recognizes the need for knowledge and source of supply for Green products. We strive to offer products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. We are committed to creating more value to our customers by being a resource of information regarding Green initiatives. We will continue to improve the information and availability of Green products for our customers.

Chace Building would like to help you plan your Green Building project. We source our lumber and materials from environmentally friendly areas and sustainable forests. To learn more, visit the resources below for additional information or call us to discuss your project.

Chace Building Supply, Inc. is part of a family run business serving the lumber and building material industry for over a century. Our family business can be traced back to 1885 when Peleg Durfee Humphrey and Captain Nathanial B. Church founded P.D. Humphrey Co. in Tiverton, RI. It has served the public's lumber, building materials and hardware needs for over 120 years. Humphrey's, along with Chace, has continued thriving as an environmentally conscious and customer oriented business.

Chace Building Supply, Inc. of Foxboro opened in March of 1986. We have been proud members of the Lumbermen's Merchandising Corporation (LMC is a multi-billion dollar building material purchasing co-op collectively owned by family businesses) since the very beginning.
